September 30 Fabulous PicturesDear Friends, today I would like to show you three of my favourite pictures. I do not know the name of the artist(s) who created them but everytime I see them, I am deeply impressed.
Many Kisses, September 29 Time Flies Even When You Have No FunDear Friends, today it is hot and humid in my place. Time to relax and clean-up some stuff on my attic. I found some old pictures that made me smile. (My 55-th and 60-th birthdays):
Enjoy your weekend! September 28 The Princess Who Never Laughed (la princesa que nunca rió; la principessa che non ha riso mai; die Prinzessin, die nie lachte; la princesse qui n'a jamais ri; 從未笑的公主)A tribute to late Dave Allen (enjoy!): Many Kisses, Joey September 26 Building BridgesDear Friends, allow me to share some philosophical thinking today. The human species is evolving more and more rapidly. Since the introduction of the Internet, physical distances on Earth have become insignificant; anyone on Earth can meet anyone else on Earth within a split of a second. That is wonderful and amazing.
From the moment I opened my web site, I have met many, many wonderful people from all over the world; believe me, I have never, NEVER, met an ugly person via the Internet. I have been thinking for a long time now: Together we form a Phenomenal Power, a Power built on True Friendship, regardless religion, race or boundaries. I often think that this is how our God intended us to live.
I have experienced a lot of consolation thanks to my friends; the bigger the circle of my friends became, the more peacefull and humble I felt. I think this is an unique feeling, a true human feeling, a feeling to be part of a bigger group and to be ONE. When friends join their forces and energies, miracles can be accomplished. I am so convinced of this. Thank you all, Many Kisses, September 25 DreamingI used to love dreaming, especially during the last hours before awakening, so that I could remember my dreams pretty well. Until recently my dreams were peaceful and pleasant, influencing my day in a positive way.
The last couple of weeks, however, I have had really bad dreams. When I wake up my blood pressure is too high and my heart is pounding in my chest. I am very emotional and my mind is full of ugly things. As a consequence, my days are shadowed by an unpleasant feeling. I have lost my laugh and humour.
I hope you sleep well and peacefully. September 23 A Tribute To WomenDear Friends, today I would like to bring a tribute to all my Lady Friends. I sincerely think that you are Wonderful. Women are Close to Mother Nature and are Pure and Beautifull. History has been dominated by agressive and violent men for too long now. The future is in the hands of you, Women, I am so convinced of that. Ladies, Be Proud to be a Woman and guide these ignorent men. Treat men like children and they will eat out-off your hand, believe me.
Many Kisses, Joey. September 16 How I Met My WifeTwelve years ago my wife was a guest student at the University of Chicago. She was studying "Criminology in the Twentieth Century". At that same time I was released from prison. The second day I was at home she stood on my door step, asking for an interview for her thesis. She entered my house, we looked at each other for minutes and ... kissed ... without any words.
Since that day she never left my house. My wife was born in a far away, eastern country. Only I know her real name, everyone calls her "Mrs D". My wife is the center of my existence; I cannot sleep when she is not with me. I cannot concentrate when I am away from her, I cannot be happy when she is sad and I cannot be sad when she is laughing. She is the greatest gift that God can give any man on earth. I am a very fortunate man. I wanted to share this feeling with you , dear friends. Kisses, Joey. September 13 Turkish BathDear Friends, yesterday I returned from a fabulous holidays in Turkey. What a wonderful country it is. Because of the long trip with the airplane my back was very painful when we arrived. My wife advised me to go to a Turkish Bathing House. I did.
When I entered the "hamam", ("bathing house") they ask me what kind of treatment I would like to have; I used one of the spare Turkish words I know: "hepsi" ("everything"). The following two hours a big, smiling man broke all the bones in my body and pulled every muscle I have. In fact, I was in a kind of coma; I only remember him saying "Haydi, Babaci !" ("come on, Daddy!") every time he threw me in boiling or freezing water.
When I came to my senses in my hotel room, I felt ten years younger. Believe me or not but I had to buy new trousers because those of mine were one inch too short ! Selamlar, Arkadaslar! See you next year, I hope! Baba Joey. September 02 Friends and FoesLife is a struggle and, according to Mister Darwin, the best equipped ones win. What a "b*llsh*t" I thought, when I took a shower this morning. I always have been small and weak but (hey!) still full of life and kicking, although I have passed the 80-years barrier a couple of year ago. Friends & Foes, the eternal game of life.
Live your life with Respect and Dignity, no one else is better "equipped" than you are, believe me! Kisses to all of you, Joey September 01 Holidays 2007Sweet Friends, one of my greatest wishes will be fulfilled in a couple of days. I will visit Turkey, the country of my dreams. I will stay there for about one week. I can hardly wait till the air-plain leaves.
Love you all, |
