Dear Friends, today I became aware  that I am often so occupied with the daily business that I forget to look around me and to give my running mind some peace.

Dear Friends, what do you think about my new web site? I am very happy and very proud about it and have also learned a lot this weekend about HTML, FLASH and about staying patient and confident.

As  you will know I am a real movie fan (I published my Movie top 100 in my Photo Gallery above).

Today I present:  Top Three Movies I HATE

Number-3: "The Beauty and the Beast". Absolutely disgusting; Only suited for the feeble minds.

Number-2: "The Nanny" Really, unbelievable stupid. "Ohhhh ..., mister Manning (?), your fly is open again, gigl-gigl-gigl-gigl".

Number-1: "The Bald and the Beautiful". Seen one episode? Then you have seen them all. Over and over about Ridge and a "bimba" called Sue-Ellen (I forgot). Better than a sleeping pill !

Do you know movies that are even worse (I cannot believe this), please let me know and I will punish myself by watching them .

Today I would like to give a special tribute to my nephew Willie.

I have admired Willie since 1953, the year of his first performance! Although I am almost ten years older Will always was the natural artist. The only thing we have in common is that the two of us keep going on, no matter what

Dear Friends, after my ironing post yesterday I received an interesting e-mail from XXX (name and address known to author, let us call him Brad). Brad writes:

Mister Dalton, I also hate ironing. In daily live I am a demolition man of the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Team. Normally I wear a helmet but I am the funny guy with Donald Duck printed on his white T-shirt. During each edition of EHM we completely demolish a house although some are in pretty good shape.

The EHM team then rebuilds the house in five months; yes, I know, the TV edition says 5 days but films can be cut, wink, wink, my lips are sealed! After work I drive home with my little walls, Mrs. Daisy. 

A couple of weeks ago, after a few beers I tried the following. I did the laundry and spread all wet clothes on a large piece of wood. I flattened them with my little Mrs. Daisy. That really worked! However, the buttons on my jeans were less than one mm flat and as sharp as a razor blade.

My shirt had become so big that my wife has made a tent from it.

This is no good solution, so you know!

Dear Friends, Saturday: time for Some Serious Ironing, the only job in housekeeping that I sincerely hate . Just moving a piece of hot iron over some wrinkled clothes until they look new again; what a time consuming, boring activity.

Some men have found ingenious ways to combine ironing with sporting. For example:

I am trying to find a way to combine ironing with horse riding. That would be great! Any ideas?? PLEASE PLEASE tell me !

Dear Friends, my sister-in-law Cathrine, married with my brother Jack, asked for my help. Jack is sleeping more and more; he behaves like an old man of 90+. I have thought and thought about a solution and eventually called my friend Ping. His head is full of exotic secrets and he hardly sleeps.
Ping came with a wonderful solution ... I thought.

The idea: invite Jack for a shooting party. This should awaken the hunter in him and, above all, the loud BANGS! of firing guns would shake his sleepy brain for the coming months.
We selected a nice gun (type: "Old Shatterhand") and prepared some extra heavy ammunition for him.

What we had forgotten is that Jack always has been a lousy gun man. I have been in jail for at least four times due to Jack. 

We started shooting near my house. Jack hit my car: flat tire.

We moved away from the house: Jack hit the house of one of my neighbors (Ping had a look, nobody was hurt, thank God!).

Still further away, into the fields. Look what Jack has done:

We were so angry and kept shouting, AIM!, AIM!, AIM JACK!.
Well, Jack did his best ...

... and we silently went home and carefully watched the latest local news till dawn.

Jack is sleeping on my porch now,
