    Just an Old Fool

Beloved Friends, I received many reactions on my latest blog and I feel so sorry, for the negative impact it might have had on you; that was not my intention at all; many excuses for this.

    Sorry-Sorry

I have lived a long life, did many things I regret now. I have seen some good but mostly awful things, things that I did not want to see at all (if God would have given me the choice).

Nowadays I am a lucky and happy man. I have a wonderful wife, crazy but heart-warming brothers, many wonderful friends, like you, and a precious dog and horse. No reason to complain, you would say, and probably you are right.

    Friends

Still, there is that little voice in my head that keeps saying me that things are NOT right at all, that we are fooled (by the media ? by our own ignorance and prejudices ?). So many people suffer and so many people pretend to be honest and reliable while my heart cries "Hey Joey !, HELLO BUDDY, WAKE UP, (S)he is pretending !!".

    Alarm-Clock

One thing that life has learned me is to trust my feelings, my feelings are the essence of my being and when my feelings protest I need to listen to them. My rational mind translates my feelings into my web posts. Often, when I re-read my publications the next day, I think: "Did I write this article ??"

What do I want to tell you?

First, I feel so good to have met you; so many different and interesting personalities. So many backgrounds and so many cultural influences. I have written many times that I adore Internet and wish that every living soul on this planet is able to freely use this communication channel to exchange her/his feelings and ideas.

Next, I appreciate so much the trust, the warmth and the friendship I have experienced since I started this web page. Most of your web names I know by heart and often I dream about you.

     Kisses

I also want to apologize because now and then I am not able to answer your questions or to give you the attention you deserve. So many lovely friends keep inspiring me with hearth-warming messages and I have so little time to thank them for this. Friends, thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my Heart heartheartheartheartheartheartheartheartheart.

    Joey.

    Note:

I need to add that I adore women; women are the hope for this planet. Men too long were in charge and now need to do a step backwards (just "SHUT UP !", fellows). Women carry life and women carry the wisdom to realize a better future for mankind. Ladies, stand up and show me your power!!

    War What ?? ... Hero????

    From the history books:

"The Vietnam War, also known as the Second Indochina War, and in Vietnam as the American War, occurred from 1959 to April 30, 1975. The term Vietnam Conflict is often used to refer to events which took place between 1959 and April 30, 1975. The war was fought between the Communist-supported Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the US supported Republic of Vietnam. It concluded with the defeat and dissolution of South Vietnam. For the United States, the war ended with the withdrawal of American troops and failure of its foreign policy in Vietnam.

Over 1.4 million military personnel were killed in the war (only 6% were members of the United States armed forces), while estimates of civilian fatalities range up to 2 million. On April 30, 1975, the capital of South Vietnam, Saigon fell to the communist forces of North Vietnam, effectively ending the Vietnam War".

Presenting you John McCain (Republican President Nonimee 2008):

"John Sidney McCain III (born August 29, 1936) is the senior United States Senator from Arizona and presumptive Republican Party nominee for President of the United States in the upcoming 2008 election.

Both McCain's grandfather and father were admirals in the United States Navy. McCain graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1958, and was married in 1965. He became a naval aviator, flying attack aircraft from carriers. During the Vietnam War in 1967, he narrowly escaped death in the Forrestal fire. On his twenty-third bombing mission over North Vietnam later in 1967, he was shot down, badly injured, and captured as a prisoner of war by the North Vietnamese. He spent five and a half years as a prisoner of war, including periods of torture, before he was released in accordance with the Paris Peace Accords in 1973."

John, allow me to ask you a personal question: Suppose you have died and are standing in front of the Gates To Heaven and suppose Saint Peter is asking you why he should allow you to pass? What Do You Say ???

I am just an old man and very confused

Life is Good, Vista is Wonderful

Since I installed Vista, my PC has become a Space Missile and I feel like Captain Kirk ("to boldly go where no man has gone before").

Installation was soooo easy and intuitive, even a keyboard or mouse were obsolete. My webcam monitored my eye movements and the position of my head. "Do you want to install the ReadyBoost option, mister Dalton?"; I only needed to wink or to nod with my head. Even my moments of hesitation (and despair, I admit) were recognized by this highly advanced AI installation program. "Did you consider the drawbacks of your decision, Joey?" (becoming intimate !?). "Are you really, really sure you want this???" So relaxing ... so cool.

"Time for a drink now, Mister Dalton, I need to check your hard disks, that will take ...uhhh, let's say ... uhhh ... two hours."

    ( .... five hours later .... )

"Well, Mister Dalton, I know enough know. Do you want me to install Vista right now, or do you want to have a quick nap first? By the way, your dog urgently needs to pee, I think."

    Sleep  Smiles

    (... 10 hours later ...)

"Vista is ready now Mister Dalton, smile and keep your secret serial number at hand".

    Hugs & Kisses,
    Joey.

    %&^%&%!&^ VISTA *()*()*&*^&*^*U&&(&(*&(*!!!

I am OK, I am OK! Dont worry, call 911, please! Oh, no, no, forget that last remark, your Higness. I am a little bit dazed after the crash I made with my Vista Star Fighter. I am OK (am I? I am so ANGRY!!). Where are my medicines? Is that you, Napoleon? Hi, Doctor Strangelove, longtime no see!

    HELPME

Dear Friends, please allow me to give you some priceless tips using Windows Vista (better CUT & COPY!):
    - NEVER, NEVER, N*O*T***E*V*E*R (!***N-E-V-E-R***!) try to "optimize" the Vista system configuration, even when you are 200% right!
    - Backups NEVER work, sorry, but this is the truth; prepare for many sleepless nights, angry partners and threats of DIVORCE and body injuries!
    - Vista is not XP, it looks like XP but it is really, really different, believe me.

I am OK now and my wife is visiting her parents (the divorce is off, I think ...); I am busy now to rebuild my PC step by step, making backups (that will fail ?!? AAAGGGGG!!!) every two/three hours. Oh Dear God, please, have mercy and stabilize my PC! I miss my friends so terribly !!!! Darling, come home, Vista is working fine now .... (I hope)

    Hugs & Kisses,
    Hasta-La-Vista Joey
